CASTLETON BRED 2YOS ON FIRE!

A Saratoga stakes winner and two TDN Rising stars represent the talented Castleton bred class of 2019 foals.

Castleton owned and bred CHI TOWN LADY (Verrazano – Toni’s Hollyday filly) who broke her maiden in her first start at Keeneland in April for trainer Wesley Ward came back to win the Bolton Landing Stakes at Saratoga easily on August 18th to remain undefeated.

H P MOON (Malibu Moon – Fun Affair colt) attained TDN Rising Star status for his first start at Pimlico on August 21st. The Lacet Gaudet trainee began to shake clear approaching the quarter pole, and put on a show down the stretch while racing well in hand en route to a geared-down 9 3/4 length victory for owners K E M Racing & Five Hellions Farm.

JACK CHRISTOPHER (Munnings – Rushin No Blushin colt) was awarded TDN Rising Star accolades in his first start at Saratoga on August 28. Breaking sharply on the outside for trainer Chad Brown, the even-money favorite took the lead approaching the quarter pole and made all down the lane to win going away by 8 3/4 lengths going 6f in 1:09.85. Brown added after the race that the G1 Champagne S. at Belmont could be next for this promising colt who is owned by Jim Bakke and Gerald Isbister.
