The talented SUPER FREAKY (f. 4, Smart Strike – Elrose, by Deputy Minister), a Grade I-placed graded stakes winner of $313,070 added to her resume with a solid 3rd place finish in the G3 Las Cienegas Handicap at Santa Anita. Purchased by Castleton Lyons at the 2007 Fasig-Tipton November Select Sale, SUPER FREAKY made her first start for her new owners under her long-time conditioner Doug O’Neill. She broke professionally to stalk the pace in fourth, forced to go 4 wide in the stretch, she stayed up for a game 4th only to be bumped up to 3rd with the disqualification of the winner, BAHAMA MAMA (IRE). It was definitely a good start for a promising 2008!
