L’Impresario (c. 3, Bernstein – Catchascatchcan (GB) by Pursuit of Love) made an exciting debut at The Curragh today. Going 1 1/4 miles in a Maiden for 3 year olds and up, the son of English Group 1 winner, CATCHASCATCHCAN (GB) acted as quite the professional when he swept by the leaders with 100 yards left in the race to gain advantage and win by a good two lengths! The colt, who is a half brother to Freshman Sire ANTONIUS PIUS (Danzig), went off at 6-1 for Trainer Jim Bolger and was ridden by Kevin Manning. “He’s a big horse who was quite green on the day and will improve quite a lot for the run,” said Manning. “I was pleased with the way he quickened up and did it.”
The colt is owned by Shane Ryan’s Kilboy Estate and was bred by Castleton Lyons.
