Some Legs (f. 3 Bernstein – High Heeled Hope by Salt Lake) broke her maiden in style yesterday at Tampa. In just her third start she gained a smooth win over eight furlongs on the turf at Tampa. Breaking well, settling in a comfortable fourth spot for the early stages she rounded the turn clearly on the bridle behind a wall of horses. Jockey Ryan Curatolo bided his time and once a gap appeared along the hedge the sophomore sprinted clear to be much the best by one length. Castleton Lyons resident mare, High Heeled Hope, the dam of Some Legs is in foal to Champion Gio Ponti, and due in April.
