Unhurried early with replacement jockey Corey Lanerie in the irons, she had a dream trip over 8 1/2 furlongs of rain softened turf hugging the inside till they rounded the turn when Corey pulled her to challenge having been behind a wall of horses. Given her office she quickly sprinted clear in the style that her brother Gio Ponti was famous for, and won going away by nearly three lengths with G1 winner Kitten’s Dumplings finishing as runner-up. Antonia Autumn now retires to the paddocks possessing an excellent race record to compliment a stellar pedigree.
