In just his second start, Gormley a Castleton Lyons bred son of Malibu Moon, out of farm resident Race to Urga, won the G1 FrontRunner for juveniles at Santa Anita earlier today. Sporting the same colors as Zenyatta, the John Shirreffs trained colt made just about all the running here in this 8 1/2 furlong test. Drawing clear in the stretch he was always holding the favorite Klimt who had arrived here with a G1 & G2 under his belt. After posting a three length win, John Shirreffs said "He looks like a million bucks, he's a beautiful horse and he's doing really well. I like that when he got into that big gear he has, he didn't get too excited for a young horse and today he was all business." Gormley will most likely point to the Breeders' Cup Juvenile at Santa Anita next month where he will be one of the favorites for that pretigious race.
